My First Meet!
My comm's summer swap meet was the other day 5/17/26 and my first meet since getting into lolita fashion around half a year ago! 
I was originally going to go as a plus one to my friend Choco (of https://chocochess.blogspot.com/ fame) before I was accepted to the comm, but! I was accepted into the comm a week before the meet, so I got to go as a full fledged member, and I couldn't be happier!

Now onto the meet itself: While I was no longer Choco's plus one, we still went together since their partner has a car and was kind enough to bring us to our meet! We braved city traffic and getting on and off the highway and made it to the meet pretty much exactly on time! While I had briefly talked with folks in the comms chats I hadn't met anyone yet and was super excited to if not a little shy, getting those first day of school jitter kind of thing where you're not sure if you'll fit in even if you know otherwise. 
But that wore off pretty quickly with my friend by my side and surrounded by frills, the second someone said they liked my classic coord I was locked in, I was so happy to be among people who were like me, got the idea, and were happiest in frills. Everyone was so sweet and kind. 
When I got in I had a few things I was on the look out for after I put my dress down. My swamp meet shopping list! a bonnet
a bag
a princess sleeve blouse
some matching accessorize for things I own
socks
wrist cuffs
head wear
jewelry
Of these, I got all that I marked off! Lets see em!
